Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BidSim (“BidSim”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our shopping organizer, website and browser extension. We aim to collect only what is needed to provide a useful, secure service.
1. Information we collect
Account information. We collect your email address, optional display name, country setting, authentication method and account preferences. Passwords are stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes.
Content you save. This includes stores, product links, categories, collections, notes, prices, purchase records and other information you choose to add to BidSim.
Service activity. We may record searches, saved-item activity, sign-in times, extension connections, system errors and security events needed to operate and protect the service.
Browser extension data. When you ask the extension to save a page, it reads relevant page information such as URL, domain, title, image and favicon. It does not read unrelated browsing history.
2. How we use information
- Provide, personalize and secure your BidSim account.
- Sync saved stores, products, collections, purchases and coupons.
- Send transactional messages such as email verification, password resets and important service notices.
- Send optional tips or product news only when you choose to receive them.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot problems and improve reliability.
3. Google sign-in
If you use Google sign-in, Google provides your verified email address, account identifier and basic profile name. BidSim does not receive your Google password. Google’s own privacy terms also apply to its service.
4. Coupons and affiliate links
BidSim may display coupons and affiliate links. If you follow an affiliate link and make a purchase, BidSim may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate partners may receive limited click and transaction information under their own privacy policies.
5. Email choices
Security and account emails are necessary to operate your account. Tips, feature news and promotional messages are optional. You can change that preference in Account settings or use the unsubscribe option in an email.
6. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We may use service providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, authentication, search, security and analytics. They receive only the information needed to perform their services and must protect it.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account is active and as needed for security, legal or operational purposes. You can export your organizer data or permanently delete your account from the Account page. Deletion may not immediately remove encrypted backups or records that must be retained by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including hashed passwords, limited-life tokens, secure cookies and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. International use
BidSim can be used in multiple countries. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete personal information, and to withdraw optional consent. BidSim provides direct export and deletion controls under Account; contact us for other applicable requests.
11. Children
BidSim is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to online services in their country.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as BidSim changes. Material updates will be communicated through the service or email where appropriate. Questions can be sent to support@bidsim.com.
